Members of all experience levels are encouraged to regularly share their work with their fellow members. Participation in club competitions is optional, but highly encouraged, as it offers valuable experience and an opportunity to get constructive feedback on their work.

All competitions are organised across the four skill levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master. 

Each month the Turner of the Year (TOTY) competition provides an opportunity to enter one piece within a set theme category and another in an open ‘anything goes’ category. Over the course of the year points are accrued with a TOTY trophy being awarded to each skill class winner.

We also have a December open competition where members submit any piece of their choosing into the annual Keith Sherwood Challenge.  Winners in each skill group receive a personal trophy, awarded in honour of our founder, Keith Sherwood. Judging for this event is by popular vote from members present.
