June 2026 Beginner Theme 1st – Robert Moore
The sharp corners on this square platter made it hard to sand, but a fine finish has been achieved

June 2026 Beginner Open 1st – Oliver Roden
This segmented bowl uses a combination of sapele, CLS softwood and Purpleheart veneer. A bowl saver was used for the mini bowl and both have a polish finish

June 2026 Intermediate Open (Joint) 1st – Cally Oldershaw
A banksia pod was used as the basis for this item, which also incorporates resin visible on the outside. It is finished with burnishing cream and friction polish

June 2026 Advanced Theme 1st – John French
The turner didn’t have any wood available for this square platter, so he turned it from ply and used hardwax oil to finish it

June 2026 Master Theme (Joint) 2nd – Justyn Fowler
This square platter is made from Black Limba and finished in microcrystaline wax

June 2026 Master Theme (Joint) 2nd – Paul Williamson
Poor quality piece of beech used for this square platter – ‘ a bit floppy as it became thinner’. Wood Wax 22 was used for the finish
