Kitchen Draining Rack as an alternative to Painter's Pyramids

I found this Addis Draining Rack on offer in 'The Range' for £2.49.

The posts are about 45mm part. The overall size is 330mm x 360mm

Especially useful when spraying bowls, etc with spray on finishes, eg sanding sealer, ebonising lacquer, Melamine Lacquer, etc

Local, positionable lathe LED light

There are moveable lights available from various woodturning vendors but they are often quite expensive.

The lights shown here are 'sewing machine lights'. They are available on Ebay and Amazon (I have found they are usually cheaper on Amazon unless you are prepared to wait for a delivery from China). Search either site for 'sewing machine lights'.

They are 240 volts. They will generally come without a plug, but it is easy enough to add a plug.

They have a flexible arm and a magnetic base with a built-in on/off switch. They can be placed on the headstock, tailstock or banjo.

Kitchen Bowl Stabiliser - used to hold mixing bowls.

Really useful way of holding a bowl while texturing, colouring or carving off the lathe.

Made of silicone they hold the bowl firmly without any need to hold the item so both hands can be used to colour or carve.

Before buying ietms on Ebay check out the price on Amazon.

Not so much a gadget or a Gizmo more a tip.

When buying new items, eg bolts, fittings, sewing machine lights, etc always check the price for the same thing on Amazon.

I have found that in many cases the price on Amazon is cheaper than the price on Ebay unless the Ebay item is coming from China..
